Unreliable, not unrelatable—YA thriller told backward

Genuine Fraud
Jule is on the run and posing as her rich friend Imogen, trying to stay one step ahead of whoever might be after her. Plenty of delicious literary allusions in this tightly plotted thriller!

Jule is posing as Imogen, but we don’t know why when we meet her in a Cabo resort. She’s strong and smart and works hard to overcome childhood trauma.  The reader can identify with her. But should we?

As the story hops back through the preceding weeks, a horrifying picture of desperation and determination emerges.
